Entry Requirement

To qualify for Smart and Skilled funding, applicants must:

  • Be at least 15 years old
  • No longer be attending school
  • Be living or working in New South Wales
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen​

Language, Literacy, Learning and Digital (LLND)

  • Be 18 years of age or older at the time of course commencement
  • Undertake an LLN assessment and enrolment interview prior to acceptance.
  • Have completed Australian Year 11 or equivalent level of schooling or a Certificate II or higher qualification with an Australian institution
  • Have the ability to undertake a work placement at an aged care, home and community care, disability care or community service organisation. 
  • Must have computer literacy to be able to access material and complete assessments.

Work placement is a mandatory part of the course to ensure you gain valuable real-world experience in a professional setting.
